Between 2007-09, approximately 55,000 Burmese refugees are being invited by the United States government to start a new life in our country. These new neighbors have come from very difficult lives, hoping for freedom and opportunity, grateful to be able to make a fresh start in safety and security. We believe that with our government's invitation comes the responsibility to welcome these and all regufees as those who are invited into our own home. We believe that we should use our skills and resources to help them make our home their home.
